I am wondering, since Natalie sort of symbolizes what Winona Ryder was in the last decade, have they ever met? Natalie Portman is hailed as the best actress of her generation and despite her young age she's been in quite a few films already. She's tried a bit of everything but like Winona she has rarely stuffed up. I personally admire her work in Closer, Garden State, V for Vendetta, Goya's Ghosts and The other Boleyn girl among others. Even her early work when she was not very famous is still remarkable, I loved Beautiful nude girls and Everyone says I love you. She was also in Mars Attacks! and she was also Queen Amidala for a new generation of Star Wars fans. Her work quality is superior to most of her contemporaries. She's also very private and chooses her projects carefully. She decided that she wanted to try uni and she got a psychology degree with the best results. She does not do drugs or drives under the influence and has not a mugshot or something like that. What do they think of each other? Does anyone know?
Official Dracula 2
It looks like vampire-defining author Bram Stoker is pulling a Tupac, seeing his material released long after his demise.
The material in question is a follow-up to his famous bloodsucker book DRACULA, a "family authorized sequel" titled THE UN-DEAD. The story will reportedly take place in London years after the events of the first novel, and finds the Dracula-killing heroes being stalked by a new threat.
The book, to be published late next year, comes from Stoker's great-grandnephew (which seems a fairly tenuous family connection) Dacre Stoker, and Dracula historian Ian Holt. The story is an expansion of Bram Stoker's original notes for DRACULA, and is described as "a virtually seamless continuation of the original."
Needless to say, a movie adaptation is already in the works, with Jan de Bont (TWISTER, SPEED) producing. Filming is expected to begin before the book even hits shelves.
Extra Tidbit: Stoker's original book has never been out of print.
They have to bring back the whole cast! If not this won't be the same... Dracula is my favourite Winona Ryder's film and for me it's her best performance, so I want her returning. That also can help her career to revive. If not, it would be a pity, but then I would want Keira Knightley instead.
